Jody was born in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and raised in San Diego, before beginning her financial services career in Atlanta, Georgia. 

After working with people of all socio-economic backgrounds, she recognized that although we all share similar basic financial goals and desires, we do not all have equal access in our quests to achieve them; to information or the resources to build wealth, create a sustainable life, or advance ourselves economically. 

After taking numerous personal and financial risks, facing some of these access challenges herself while working in finance and real estate over more than two decades, Jody has learned that wealth is defined beyond money.
